Le Parker Meridien is a superior, deluxe hotel located in Midtown Manhattan two blocks south of Central Park, between Sixth and Seventh Avenue. The hotel boasts comfortable, ergonomically inspired rooms that offer both deluxe and practical amenities to please the tourist as much as the business traveler. The hotel has a sleek and contemporary décor. Accommodation The Le Parker Meridien boasts 730 guest rooms, 100 of which are large suites. In order to enhance the modern theme, all guest rooms are newly designed. Original concept furniture, Aeron chairs and window seats are just a few of the unique design touches that have gone into making the hotel an experience unto it's own. Warm earth tones that grace the walls blend magnificently with the cherry and cedar woods. Many of the suites offer guests a breathtaking view of Central Park and the city skyline. The suites also include an L-shaped junior-suite with a separate sitting area. In addition to a king size bed, the suites also have a sleep sofa. The exquisite bath is cedar lined and a large desk provides a conducive work space. Many suites also come with fully equipped kitchens. When it comes to amenities, the Le Parker Meridien is the creme de la creme. All guest rooms feature a state-of-the-art entertainment center that includes a large screen color TV, DVD and CD player. Guests may even opt to check-out of the hotel via video. All rooms are individually climate controlled. Valuables may be stored in the in-room safe. Telephones are equipped with datports, modem capability, call waiting and voicemail. Additional amenities include iron, ironing board, min-bar and hairdryer. Handicap accessible rooms are available upon request. Children ages 10 and under stay at the hotel for free. Workout buffs will be happy to now that the hotel has dedicated 15,000-square feet of space to GRAVITY, a state-of-the-art fitness facility and spa. Guests can choose from superb equipment such as Nautilus and Cybex weight training circuits, stairmasters, virtual reality bikes as well as racquetball, squash and basketball courts. An 800 square-foot glass enclosed pool is located on the penthouse floor offering swimmers a beautiful view of the Manhattan skyline. There is no way more wonderful to swim in New York than this. After a hard workout guests can reward themselves with a luxurious massage. Dining & Restaurant Guests need not travel far for an out-of-this-world dining experience. The Le Parker Meridien is home to two restaurants and a bar. Norma's is located on the lobby level and was named "Best New York Breakfast" in 1999 by New York Magazine. Norma's features tasty and unique breakfast items such as red berry risotto oatmeal, molten chocolate French toast and sweet potato hash browns. Seppi's features bistro-style cuisine in an environment anyone will find comfortable. Jack's is the ideal place to unwind with a cocktail after a day of sightseeing or business meeting
